While the viewing bending is skillful on the Samsung UN48J5000, information technology has a poor overall film quality in front, even considering its low toll. The colors are off and not adjustable, information technology has weak blacks and there are a lot of darker spots all across the screen. At least, it has very little move mistiness and input lag, making information technology a skillful budget gaming TV.

Our Verdict

Beneath average TV for mixed usage. Low native contrast ratio results in blacks that appear grey in a dark room, but the prototype remains authentic when viewed at an angle. Uniformity is a chip bad for sports and then some dingy screen effect is visible, only motion handling is cracking.

Poor option for watching movies in a dark room. Very low native contrast ratio and so blacks appear gray and night scenes are washed out. Some judder is present when watching movies from whatsoever source.

Below average for watching Tv set in a bright room. Image remains accurate when viewed at a broad bending but can't get very vivid to combat glare.

Decent pick for watching sports. Paradigm remains accurate when viewed from a angle which is good for those with broad seating. Can't get vivid enough to overcome glare but motion handling is swell and only a short trail is visible backside fast moving objects.

Below average for gaming. Movie quality is disappointing but motion blur is very good for fast paced games. Input lag is fine for casual gaming.

Doesn't back up HDR. Can't produce a wider range of colors and but a 1080p Boob tube.

Doesn't support HDR gaming. Lacks back up for the HDR10 format and can't produce vivid or bright highlights.

Poor pick for a PC monitor. Supports up to 1080p with full chroma for clear text on all backgrounds. Move handling is swell, but input lag is a bit high.

Differences Betwixt Sizes And Variants

Nosotros bought the 48" (Samsung UN48J5000). The panel version written at the dorsum is ED02, and it is an IPS panel (PLS). Nosotros expect our review to be valid for the 32", 43" and 48". The fifty" though, has a VA panel within, and then the viewing angle won't exist as adept, merely it should take a better dissimilarity ratio. The rest of the picture quality elements should exist similar.
